Jess had her first performance when she was 5 years old, dressed as a yellow dandelion (she hopes to renew this role one day). Present day, her love for performing has grown immensely and believes there’s truly no better feeling. She grew up in sunny Clearwater Florida dancing competitively, which led to her first professional job as a backup dancer in the Premios Los Nuestros, a latin music award show hosted in Miami. After graduating high school Jess moved to Los Angeles, where she began her college education at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She focused on her commercial and concert dance training, and was excited to spend her third semester studying at the New York location so she could dig deeper into her theater training. The only catch was that being Floridian, you wouldn’t find adaptability to cold weather in her special skills. Once she got to the city, it was clear that this was exactly where she needed to be. Jess decided she wanted to extend her stay in New York longer than just her third semester, and ended up graduating from AMDA’s conservatory program in May 2019.
Other than her passion for performing, Jess also finds interest in drawing/painting, reading, choreographing and really anything that has to do with creating more art in the world! With her favorite color being yellow, (if she hasn’t made that clear already) she tries to relay that into her everyday life, always finding the bright side.
